so today's sermon was pretty good.
just to sum it up real quick:
us humans are too easily pleased.
we give up a whole eternity of life in heaven, of happiness, or joy and treasures, more than one can ever imagine.
n all we have to do is wait. n follow God in this life.
but we chose alcohol, drugs, sex, sin, temptation.
just so we can enjoy life NOW.
we give up an eternity of true happiness for the cheap thrills of life now.
we are foolish beings.
we are like kids in the playground, contented to just make mudpies with mud.
something we cannot truly enjoy, something we cannot truly savour.
when we can be in the house, learning how to make real mudpies n cakes and enjoy it after that hardwork of learning and perfecting the skills from my mothers.
we are nothing but foolish and ignorant.
another point was that many of us are afraid,
afraid of disciple-ship.
we think it is for those who are strong in faith,
but the truth is, once u believe, u are a alr a disciple.
and being a disciple is about sacrifice. we are afraid that we are never good enuf, that we dont have enuf to sacrifice,
or that we are afraid to give up with have now.
but all these were given by God! wad He gives, He can take.
and we constantly forget that, we hold on so tightly, being so afraid to give this temporal things up to follow Him because what He promises is something we cant see.
true sacrifice does not feel like sacrifice because you do it WILLINGLY.
i rmb from another sermon a long time ago,
God does not want us to not enjoy, of coz He wants us to enjoy life!
to reap what we sow!
but we must never forget that all this that He has given us to enjoy, He can also take away.
that we cannot RELY on earthly things to give us joy and happiness or fulfilment.
we must understand these are temporal, n that true joy is to follow Him, to trust in Him. even when times are bad, because our place is not here.
we are but merely passers-by.
this just reminds me of a show
in the playground, they have these annual race where they will train the kindergarteners into the race / SOC thingy.
and the trick is there are many candies n toys all along the obstacle course.
the one who finishes the race n does not stop to indulge in the temptations is the winner.
kind of a bad analogy
but i think this is wad it is like.

1st ting 1st.
so my bdae. i split it up into 5 different celebrations cuz i dun want one big ass party n everyone will just feel awkward while im running around lyk mad dog being a good host, entertaining everyone.
so the 5 groups were de CLS peeps, sec skool tuition mates, UM clique, sec skool frens, n my fav, the skatersssss!!!!!
haha. so other then de skaters, the rest were lyk steamboat ah, korean bbq ar, manhattan, and mindcafe.
with de skaters, PAINTBALL YO.
which was pretty damn epic.
de past few days following after my bdae were a whole series of stay-overs, drinking sesh n clubbing.
so in other words,
hols have been pretty damn insane.
with all de halo and skating.
i am perfectly contented with life as of now. this right here, is perfect.
n i hope me n my frens all never ever grow apart.
